Ghana midfielder Wakaso Mubarak provided a goal contribution as Jiansung Suning hammered Henan Jianye 5-2 in the Chinese Super League, on Sunday.

The Black Stars midfielder, 30, who joined the side wayback in January started the Match Week 8 encounter from the bench.

Wakaso climbed off the bench to replace hattrick hero Ivan Santini in the 70th minute. 10 minutes later he provided the assist for Italian striker Eder to net his second goal of the game and his side’s 5th.

The win pushes Jiansung Suning to 3rd place on the league log after accumulating 14 points, two adrift of table toppers Shandong Luneng and Guanzhoue Evergrande, although the latter has a game in hand.

Wakaso has so far featured in all but one of his side’s league matches (the opening game with Henan Jianye).
