Ghana duo Bernard Mensah and Afriyie Acquah will play in the Turkish Division One league next season after suffering relegation in the Turkish Super Lig.
Mensah’s Kayserispor suffered a 2-1 home defeat on Saturday to Trabzonspor to confirm their demotion to the First Division next season.
Bernard Mensah missed Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Trabzonspor due to suspension.
The 25-year-old scored five goals in 25 league appearances for the club and has been linked with a move away from the club.
Afriyie Acquah on the other hand who joined Malatyaspor last summer on a free transfer has also been pushed down the table with the side.
Acquah also missed the games against Gaziantep due to injury.
The workaholic midfielder made 27 league appearances and scored one goal.
Both Kayserispor and Malatyaspor join bottom club Ankaragücü to the First Division.
