New Accra Hearts of Oak signing Isaac Mensah has been sharing his first words as a player of the Rainbow club.
The former Nkoranza Warriors attacker has penned a three year deal with the capital based Ghanaian football giant after agreeing to terms.
He is expected to provide keen competition for the likes of Kofi Kordzi, Abednego Tetteh, Joseph Esso and others when football finally returns following the Covid-19 invoked suspension.
Speaking in an interview with Kumasi based Wontumi FM, Mensah has been stating his delight at his latest career move.
He said “It was always my dream to play for a big club in the country, so when I got the news from my agent that Hearts Of Oak are interested in me, I didn’t even want to think about any deal than to sign for them, I am very happy to sign for Hearts.”
The player who netted 8 times in the 2019-20 Division One league season has mentioned former Swedish football icon Zlatan Ibrahimovic as his role model.
“Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been someone I looked up to growing up as a player, he is my mentor so I’m praying that I also live up to where he has reached in football,” Mensah mentioned.
Isaac Mensah has vowed to make the colorful Hearts of Oak fans happy with his exploits.
“I want to make the fans happy with good performances and, I will work hard to repose the trust imposed in me by the team,” he concluded.
