Chief Executive Officer for Inter Allies Eric Delali Senaye has advised Ghanaian clubs to learn from Covid-19 pandemic and make insurance cover for future pandemic.
The Coronovirus pandemic has financially hit the Ghana Premier League clubs very hard with clubs adopting different strategies in order to be able to survive amidst the pandemic.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA), proposal to government for a share of a stimulus package set aside for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) affected by the pandemic went in vain.
Speaking to Joy Sports about the ordeal the clubs are going through, Senaye stated,
“I’m very much of the view that, after this crisis, clubs should take steps to take insurance cover against unforeseen circumstances like this”
“Inasmuch as we pray against anything happening again, it is important we take certain steps so that if it does happen again, we can fall on such for protection.
“It will help all of us, and also give us some security,” Senaye noted.
The experience football administrator also called on the football community to come together as a unit.
“Some lessons would be learnt out of this COVID-19. Football clubs would have to prepare and move forward as a unit,” he added.
