Sensational Ghanaian teenage forward Mohammed Kudus has been shortlisted for the 2020 Golden Boy award.
The FC Nordsjaelland player goes head to head with other young talents like Dortmund duo Erling Braut Håland and Jadon Sancho, Real Madrid’s Brazilain youngsters Vinicius Jnr and Rodrygo, Barcelona’s Ansu Fati and Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood.
Kudus has had an impressive season with Danish top flight side Nordsjaelland.
He has registered 9 goals in 21 league matches. During the period under review, he earned a maiden Black Stars call-up while he also netted a debut goal in national team colors.
In all, 100 players have been shortlisted for the awards put together by Italian media outlet, Tuttosport.
Instituted in 2003, the award is to reward the best young player in Europe under the age of 21, who has been exceptional while playing in one of the top tier leagues.
The top 20 will be the finalists and a jury will choose the winner out of them.
The prestigious prize was won by Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix last year.
