Former Hearts Of Oak midfielder, Emmanuel Mintah has revealed he became aware the Club will sack him the moment erstwhile Coach Kim Grant exited the club.
The midfielder joined the Phobians in September 2019 under Grant from Ghana Premier League side Karela United FC, but was released less than three months after failing to meet the expectations.
It is believed that the recruitments of Frederick Ansah Botchway and Emmanuel Nettey rendered him surplus to requirements at the club.
But in an interview with Sunyani based Space FM, Mintah revealed his days at boyhood club, Hearts of Oak were numbered after coach Kim Grant was dismissed.
“I have been supporting Accra Hearts of Oak since my childhood. I was called to the office of Mr Frederick Moore one day, he told me the club wants me out,”
“I asked him why, and he was not able to give me any tangible reason. But I told him point blank that, I saw it coming.
“Before then, Karela CEO had called me to return to the club, because he had heard that I will be shown the exit because Kim Grant had been fired,” he added.
