General captain of the Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan has embarked on a sensistization campaign against the novel corona virus.
Just some few days ago, Asamoah Gyan in a video implored Ghanaian celebrities to join the government’s bid to rid the country off the Corona Virus outbreak and it looks like he is walking the talk from the latest happening.
Gyan, Ghana’s all time top scorer on the pitch has this time around top scored in the streets as he reached out to people on how to practise safe hygiene amid the corona virus outbreak.
The former Sunderland striker was joined on this campaign by the Deputy Health Minister Tina Gifty Mensah who also serves as the Member of Parliament for Weija-Gbawe Constituency.
The Ghana Football Association Executive Council Member, Samuel Anim Addo who also doubles as the CEO of the Asamoah Gyan owned BabyJet Foundation was also part of the team that embarked on this initiative.
Ghana has so far recorded 136 cases of Covid-19 with 3 confirmed deaths. In a bid to curb the spread of the virus, government has put in place measures and issued directives to follow.
There have been massive sensitization initiatives activated and Gyan’s efforts is the latest of such laudable ventures.
The player took to social media to share his engagement in the fight against Covid-19.
