Reports reaching Footballmadeinghana.com indicate that Kumasi Asante Kotoko contract rebel Sogne Yacouba, has finally agreed to an extension with the club, ending what has been a protracted negotiation process.
Yacouba had his contract running out in April and had refused to commit to an extension due to disagreement on the renewal amount to be paid him by the club.
Asante Kotoko communicated that they were unwilling to meet the $150,000 renewal fee being demanded by Yacouba’s representatives.
The player was subsequently benched by Head Coach Maxwell Konadu who insisted on not selecting the player until his situation was resolved.
Subsequent developments triggered a fierce response from the player’s camp who claimed he was been treated unfairly.
It now seems, all issues have been well catered for and the player is now willing to commit to the club for a further year. FootballMadeinGhana will gather all necessary details and share with our readers…
