Accra Hearts of Oak is still targeting the Ghana premier league title, despite a poor start to the campaign, according to board member Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe.
The ‘Phobians’ have recorded back to back defeats in their opening two games of the season. The latest in their string of defeats is an excruciating 3-0 result against Medeama SC away at Tarkwa.
Hearts of Oak were outplayed and outclassed by a spirited Medeama side and never showed any signs of recovering after going down for the first time in the game.
The club also lost their first league game against Berekum Chelsea; a result that led to the dismissal of head coach Kim Grant.
They now languish in the relegation spots with nothing to account for after two matches.
Despite how dire their situation is, board member, Nyaho Tamakloe is adamant they will eventually sail through the billowing seas to annex the league title.
If Nyaho Tamakloe’s words hold true, then Hearts of Oak will need to bounce back in their next league game which is against Ebusua Dwarfs, another struggling side
