Interim head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Edward Nii Odoom, has rejected claims that he is not capable of handling the team on a permanent basis.
Odoom’s tenure as an interim coach got off to a miserable start after suffering a humiliating 3-0 defeat to Medeama at Tarkwa.
The Phobians fell to goals from Prince Opoku Agyemang and Nana Kofi Babil to leave them in the relegation zone after two matches.
The performance of Hearts of Oak in Odoom’s first game has led the fans to ask questions about his competency.
Speaking after his side’s game against Medeama, the coach insisted he has 30 years experience in the job and Hearts of Oak job is not beyond him.
”I have coached in Ghana for 30 years. I have handled different teams like Real Sportive and many others.
“This Hearts of Oak job is not beyond me at all. I am capable of doing the work well.”
The Phobians will be looking to register their first win of the season when they welcome Ebusua Dwarfs on match day three of the season.
