Head coach of Asante Kotoko Maxwell Konadu has admitted Eleven Wonders made things difficult for his side despite edging the Techiman based club by a slim win.
A second minute header by Justice Blay was enough to secure the Porcupines the maximum points in Kumasi .
Speaking to the media after the game, Maxwell Konadu admitted his side struggled to overcome the stubbornness of the visitors but salvaging a win is the most important thing for his side.
“The game generally was a difficult one, we understand because it’s the first game of the season .
“Initially everything was going on well , eventually we not able to score a couple of goals.
“Eleven wonders came into the game very strongly especially in the second half, it wasn’t an easy game , it’s a sign of a good team even on a bad day we managed to pick all the points.
“To some extent we were able to steal a slim win which was a well rehearsed thing that we do.
“On one hand we did well, but as to how we wanted to play in the second half, we couldn’t, but it’s just the beginning of the season so we will still work hard and make sure we get it right next time” He added
