Asante Kotoko management have decided to pronounce a punishment for their injured left back Abass Mohammed after he sustained what is feared to be a serious injury during an inter area gala.
Abass suffered the injury while playing a gala at Tafo after breaking from camp and he is now set to miss half of the season.
Footballmadeinghana.com understands the club have decided to use his monthly salaries to cater for the injury until he recovers.
According to our source, management of the Club are not happy with the player for defying the club orders by engaging himself in such unsanctioned gala with only a week to the commencement of the league.
Abass has since apologized to the club for the unfortunate incidents and vowed not to repeat it again.
Abass is the second Asante Kotoko player to find himself in this situation, Jackson Owusu in 2016 suffered a serious injury whilst playing Inter area gala which kept him home for a year and half.
