Nashville attacker Ropapa Mensah might miss the upcoming AFCON under 23 in Egypet due to his club participation in the USL Eastern Conference Playoffs.
Despite being named in the final 21 man squad for the tournament, Ropapa Mensah’s availability will largely depend on his team’s progress in the USL Eastern Conference playoff.
Nashville are in the semi final of the USL Eastern Conference playoffs, and will face Indy Eleven on Sartuday.
Should Nashville win the game, it means he won’t be available for Ghana’s first game against Cameroon.
The final of the Eastern Conference Conference playoffs has been scheduled on 9th/10th of November.
Meanwhile Ghana will play their tournament opener against Cameroon on November 8, at the Cairo Stadium.
However should Nashville SC go on and win the final of the Eastern Conference Mensah’s availability will look impossible because Nashville will be slated to face Western Conference winner for the 2019 USL Cup.
The USL club have made it clear they will only release the player after the end of the season.
