Black Stars B striker Shafiu Mumuni has blamed their 1-0 defeat in the CHAN qualifier against Burkina Faso on their wastefulness in front of goal.
Ghana created a lot of goalcoring chances in both halves but couldn’t covert it to the back of the net.
Maxwell Konadu’s side were then punished for their failure to convert those chances when Yannick Stephanie scored a brilliant winner in the added time to give the visitors the first leg advantage over Ghana.
“We are very disappointed even though we try our best to make sure we score, we didn’t take our chances, but we’ll go back to the drawing board to correct our mistakes” He told footballmadeinghana.com
“We are confident that we can make difference when we go for the return encounter in Burkina Faso.
“We weren’t lucky on the day because we did everything possible to ensure victory, but one mistake caused us .
“As the captain and the leading striker I’m very worried not to have scored a goal , but we were just not lucky to see all our efforts gone begging”
Ghana will be looking to cause an upset in a month time when they lockhorns with the same opponent in the second leg.
