Chief Executive Officer of AshGold Sporting Club Frederick Acheampong will be contesting for a slot on the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association, footballmadeinghana.com can exclusively reveal.

The young football administrator has confirmed he will be contesting for the slot for the second time after failing to pick a seat in 2015.

The contest for a slot on the Executive Council, hitherto the Executive Committee, will be given a stiff race following the reduction of the composition from 23 to 12 members.

The Extraordinary Congress of the Ghana FA on Thursday at the College of Physicians and Surgeons accepted a reduction of the membership of the Executive Council of the FA from 23 to 12 which was accepted and adopted.

But the promising administrator is convinced this is the time for him to be represented on the highest decision making body of the association.

“I’ve been contacted by many influential people in the football family to contest again and after all considerations, I’ve decided to contest again,” Frederick Acheampong told footballmadeinghana.com in an exclusive interview.

Acheampong in 2015 lost the contest for a seat on the Executive Committee of the GFA by a whisker and many believe he stands a good chance of winning this time.
