Asante Kotoko have recalled Abdul Fatawu Safiu from Swedish club  Helsinborg sighting the meagre amount the Swedish club are quoting for the player.

Fatawu impressed during his two weeks trial with the Swedish club, leading them to propose $150k for the service of the former Portland Timbers attacker.

But speaking to Oyerepa FM in kumasi, Public Relations officer for Asante Kotoko Kennedy Boakye Ansah confirmed the Porcupines have recalled their player insisting the player is valuable than the amount the Swedish club are quoting.

“We have asked the player to come back to Ghana because looking at Fatawu’s quality, his pedigree ,value ,you can’t pay $15000 for him”

“Kotoko deserves better, we don’t think the player deserves that so we have asked the player to come back to Ghana”

The former Inter Allies player finished as the joint topscorer in the NC tier one Cup scoring  10 goals in the competition.
