The Confederation of African Football has announced that the Champions League and Confederations Cup will now see a single legged final at a neutral pre-determined venue from the 2019/2020 edition.
The decision was reached during CAF’s Executive Committee meeting in Cairo on Wednesday.
CAF President Dr Ahmad Ahmad confirmed the latest development in a post on his Twitter account;
”Huge decision that @CAF_Online’s #exco took today : the #CAFChampionsLeague and #CAFConfederationsCup finals will be now played on a single game. #Football #CAF.”
Asante Kotoko are Ghana’s sole representative in next season’s Champions League campaign which kicks off on August 9 while AshantiGold will look to do the nation proud in Africa’s secondary club football tournament.
