Christian Atsu’s childhood club Cheetah FC have appealed to the Newcastle United star for a team bus during an interactive session with the players.
Atsu who is on holiday after a difficult season with The Magpies has been with his childhood club, holding his personal trainings ahead of Ghana’s AFCON campaign in Egypt.
The Ghana winger interacted with players of Cheetah FC on Wednesday after his personal training at the Kokrobite Beach, near Kasoa, to share his experience with them.
At the session, young players of Cheetah FC has the chance of asking the former Chelsea winger some brilliant questions about his European experience.
Atsu passionately took the players through his challenges in his early stages in Europe and how he walked out of them to where he is today.
President of the club, Abdul Haye Yartey, who has been Atsu’s manager as well as personal trainer anytime he’s back home thanks him for the session and appealed to him for a team bus.
“We are so touched by this gesture of encouraging the young ones to rise to your level. But we want to appeal to you that we don’t have a team bus and we pray that God provides for you to buy one for us,” he said after Atsu’s delivery.
The Newcastle United star did not respond to the request publicly but it appears he will honour it.
Atsu is one of the 29 players invited by Black Stars coach Kwasi Appiah in his provisional list for the pre-AFCON camping in Dubai early next month.
