Ghana’s President Nana Akufo-Addo is set to host the Black Stars to a farewell dinner on Friday before the team flies out to Dubai for pre-2019 Africa Cup of Nations camping.
The President, who is bent on seeing the Black Stars lift the AFCON trophy after 37 years of fruitless efforts will interact with the 29 players named in the provisional squad for the training camp.
The event will include the technical team and the management will also be part of the dinner.
Followinmg the recent captaincy row between Asamoah Gyan and Andre Ayew, Nana Akufo-Addo is expected to use the opportunity to iron out the difference as the country needs a common goal to lift the trophy.
Gyan has now been appointed General Captain while Andre Ayew is the newly-installed substantive captain of the Black Stars.
Ghana will play two pre-tournament friendlies against Namibia and South Africa in the Gulf country.
The Black Stars are in Group F with Benin, Guinea-Bissau and Cameroon.
