Asante Kotoko coach CK Akonnor has described officiating in the Normalization Committee Special Committee as sad after his side’s 1-1 with Bechem United.
A Fatawu Safiu free kick cancelled out Charles Mensah’s strike as the Hunters frustrated the Porcupine warriors in a cagey encounter at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The home side made a lot of penalty calls during the game but the referee – Solomon Mordey – overlooked them.
The fans expressed their frustrations and anger at in various ways after the game.
Speaking to the media after the game, frustrated C K Akonnor described the officiating as very sad and also insisted nothing has change even after the #12 exposé.
“We have all been talking about it. It’s very sad. Tomorrow everyone will be complaining about it across all the centers.
‘It’s sad there’s no improvement. It takes the beauty of our game away. I hope we can do something about it,” he lamented.
Asante Kotoko will face Ashanti Gold in the Match Day 11 of the Normalization Committee Special Competition on Sunday at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi.
