Former Asante Kotoko Chairman Herbert Mensah addressed the Muslim Congregation at the Kumasi Central Mosque on Friday to usher in activities earmarked for the 18th Anniversary of the May 9th Disaster.
Herbert who was the head of Asante Kotoko when the disaster occurred during a clash with Hearts of Oak in Accra has been a symbol of hope for victims of the unfortunate event.
The unforgettable disaster claimed 127 lives at the Accra Sports Stadium and left several other physically damaged when the event occurred.
The Friday visit to the Kumasi Central Mosque marks the start of activities for the May 9th Disaster.
