CEO of Division One side New Edubiase, Abdul Salam has casts doubt over the transparency of the GFA Normalisation committee following the extension of their mandate.
The four-member committee led by Dr Kofi Amoah was instituted after the Anas Aremeyaw Anas exposé on football in June last year.
The committee which was expected to bring their work to an end in March 2019 received the nod from FIFA to continue until September, a decision which raised lots of questions.
“We need accountability from the Ghana Football Association Normalization committee. The Normalization committee only told us that they got an extension but we haven’t seen the extension letter from FIFA . People should wait by closed of next week Tuesday and everyone will know what we seek,” Abdul Salam Yakubu told Happy FM.
The extension of the mandate has been met with mixed feelings as it could further plunge local football clubs and the Normalisation Committee on a collision course.
