Asante Kotoko return to action on Wednesday at the Baba Yara Stadium when they face Berekum Chelsea in the final game of the first round of the Normalization Committee Special Competition.
Despite no action in the match day six of the competitions, the Porcupines are still on top of the Zone A table with ten Points.
The Porcupines are unbeaten in their last three games winning two and drawing one in the process.
Fatawu Abdul Safiu has scored five goals in five games and will be looking to add more on Wednesday.
After losing their first three games in the competition, Berekum Chelsea finally got their first win over the weekend by overcoming Ashanti Gold in the match day six of the competition.
A lot has been said about the future of Randolph Armah who according to various media report was asked to step down from his position.
But he surprisingly led the team against Ashanti Gold and will still be at the dugout when they face Asante Kotoko.
Coach Randolf Armah gave his take on the game: “We’ll play against a special Kotoko team, they have prominent talent in their team and led by a wonderful tactician. My boys especially the young ones will cherish playing against such a team in such a stadium.”
