Division One League side Asokwa Deportivo have been attacked by Armed Robbers on their way to honour their match at Prestea some hours ago.
The team was traveling to Prestea to play Achiken in the Match Day 5 of the Normalization Committee Special Competition tier two league.
The attack happened at Pamporomu near Jacobu on the Obuasi road.
The Armed robbers took away everything in their possession including jerseys, boots, footballs, among others.
Footballmadeinghana.com understands the team have since reported the incident to the nearest Anwiankwanta Police Station and have made a u-turn back to Kumasi.
Attempts to reach the chairman of the club, Mr. Camarat have proved fruitless as his phone is off, and it’s suspected that his phone has also been taken away by the unidentified robbers.
