Kumasi Asante Kotoko enforcer Kwame Bonsu says the club’s fans have been supportive and he wants to reward them.
The former Gefle IF midfielder says he has been through a torrid time in the past but now he feels at home in Kumasi and he is enjoying his football.
“I have had a perfect ‘akwaaba’ to my career with one of the greatest club’s on the continent and the greatest in Ghana. Kotoko is home and this is where I belong.” Bonsu told OTEC FM
“I am happy with my steady progress. The fans have been exceptional and they have given me the necessary support needed to excel. The only way we have to pay them back is to deliver the trophy for them and that is our prime motive,”
Kotoko were defeated 3-1 by Nkana over the weekend in a game Bonsu was again dominant in midfield. The talented holding midfielder insists they are going to the game with a different mindset and they will keep pushing.
“There’s always something that can be learned from winning and losing. I would argue we can learn much more from losing than we can from winning. The point is that you must approach it with a ‘growth mindset versus a victim mindset’. We keep fighting!,” Bonsu added.
The 24-year-old has been earmarked as one of the players who could gatecrashed Ghana’s 2019 AFCON squad.
