The Sports Ministry, after holding the stakeholders meeting on Monday, has formed a new committee to be chaired by the Deputy Minister for Sports, Hon. Perry Okudjato to work out modalities for the Special Competition.

The clubs, after agreeing to play in the Special Competition proposed by the Normalization Committee insisted on seeing the financial details of the competition before commencing.
The Normalization Committee, in a statement, following the clubs decision of the clubs calling for transparency and accountability, described the clubs as greedy, selfish and braggadocios, a call which further worsened the relationship between the two bodies.
The Parliamentary Select Committee for Sports intervened but two parties looked far apart, forcing the Sports Ministry to step in.
But the recent step taken by the Sports Ministry is expected to settle the matter amicably to ensure the commencement of the Special Competition.
