Former Asante Kotoko International Relations Officer Dr. Kwame Baah Nuakoh has urged the playing body to remain optimistic ahead of the clash with Nkana FC on Sunday.
The former management member believes the Porcupine Warriors must remain confident of winning the game in Zambia and prepare their minds for that.
He adds that having self believe of winning the game is a prerequisite requirement for Kotoko to be able to register a good score line in Zambia, and the players must think the task is difficult.
“If the players and management believe they want to do it, they can do it.
“Normally it starts with when you have the ability to do it,” he said.
“Especially when Kotoko is playing away, there is no reason Kotoko should go and defend. You need to first believe you are better than the team. Whether home or away. That is what makes Kotoko different from the other clubs,” he added.
He then challenged the club to make sure they go away and win matches, as that’s the only way the club can reclaim greatness.
“The challenge for Kotoko now is to go away and start winning matches.
“If they win at Nkana it tells us they are ready to win African title,” he added.
Asante Kotoko will take on the Zambians at the Nkana Stadium in Kitwe in a exactly a week in the match day three of the Confederation Cup.
