Despite overcoming Zesco United in an enthralling 2-1 encounter, former Kotoko winger Francis Akwaffo has urged the club to redouble their effort if they want to make it out of the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The former winger thinks his former club can still perform better than what they are doing.
“They are doing very well. But they must improve and do better.
“They should try and give more than 150%.
“To qualify ahead of the likes of Zesco and Al Hilal, you must redouble your effort,” Francis told Footballmadeinghana.com.
“They shouldn’t be conceding goals at home, because it might get to a time when goals will be use to decide who qualify from the group.”
The former Al Ittihad attacker also called on C K Akonnor to work on the defensive department of the team.
“C K Akonnor is a very good coach. He has the experience from been footballer and a coach. But I’m pleading with him to work on the defence for the team to stop conceding.”
