The Ghana FA Normalization Committee is set to announce the sacking of Ghana U20 coach Jimmy Corbblah following the shameful performance of the team in Niger, FootballMadeInGhana.com can exclusively reveal.
Jimmy Corbblah and his team won just a game during the U20 AFCON in Niger, suffering two painful defeats leading to their subsequent dismissal from the tournament.
Sources close to the Normalization Committee have disclosed to FootballlMadeInGhana.com that the committee has been angered by the comments of the coach after their exit from the tournament despite spending several months in camp preparing.
The Ghana U20 side spent six months in camp preparing for the tournament but failed to qualify for the World Cup in Poland later this year after their embarrassing show in Niger.
Jimmy Corbblah after the failure of the team to pick a World Cup ticket claimed his side did not get the best of preparations despite earlier lauding it, a position which has angered the committee.
The committee has, therefore, decided to terminate his appointment as soon as the team arrives in Ghana early on Wednesday morning.
The decision could be hailed by many Ghanaians as several people lambasted the poor approach of the team in their games before and during the tournament.
