The late Alhaji Abdul Ganiu Lawal, Eastern Region Football Association boss has been laid to rest.

The 62-year old Alhaji Lawal was buried at the Nsawam-Adoagyir cemetery, beside the Accra-Kumasi road.

The occasion was graced by hundreds of people including top Ghana FA officials.

GFA presidential hopefuls Kurt Okraku and Osei Parmer were among the various dignitaries who graced the burial service.

The final funeral rites, the Islamic version, of the late AA Lawal will be performed at his Nsawam Adoagyir residence on 9th March 2019 with the Traditional version taking placed on 23rd March.
