The National Sports Authority (NSA) have assured the Baba Yara Stadium is primed to host the inaugural edition of the J.A Kuffour Cup on Sunday.
Patrons have had cause to complain about some defects of the facility especially with regards to sanitation.
Asante Kotoko will face regional rivals AshantiGold for the coveted trophy which is being used to commemorate the 80th birthday of former Ghana President John Agyekum Kuffour
The match forms part of an audacious effort to raise a whooping GH¢8080m for the foundation of the former Ghanaian head of state.
New NSA boss Professor Peter Twumasi says all concerns about the Baba Yara Stadium facility have been addressed to give fans a memorable experience.
“The stadium is ready,” he said at the launch of the match on Wednesday.
“We have fixed everything. The sanitation was the problem but we have improved on that aspect.”
The J.A Kuffour Cup is being institutionalized as an annual event to help raise funds for the foundation while honouring the former president.
