AshGold are in talks with Paa Kwesi Fabin over their vacant coaching job, according to reports in the local media.

The Miners are in a hunt for a new trainer following the sacking of Charles Akonnor back in June.

Technical Director John Christensen who had been doubling as the acting coach has left the club by mutual consent.

This has led AshGold into opening talks with Paa Kwesi Fabin who is unattached since leaving Asante Kotoko.

According to reports, the club wants Fabin as part of their plans to bring through youthful players.

Fabin was reportedly close to joining a mystery club in South Africa as the reason for leaving Kotoko but this move has since not materialized.
