Spokesperson for the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Elvis Adjei Baah has heaped praises on the Black Maidens after their victory over Uruguay.

The female U-17 team opened their World Cup account with a 5-0 thrashing of host Uruguay and the MoYS communications head has lauded them.

“Is good the Black Maidens repeated the Azerbaijan history by beating the Uruguayans 5 goals to zero” he said in an interview with Agyenkwa FM.

“The scoreline is a sign of good things and we hope it continues through out the tournament period” he added.

Ghana will face Finland in their next game on Friday
