Ghana international Daniel Amartey will return after the new year following a successful surgery on Sunday.
Amartey broke the bone in his ankle on Saturday at the Kings Power Stadium as Leicester drew 1-1 with West Ham.
The Ghanaian defender had successful surgery on Sunday and his Leicester City boss Claude Puel has revealed that he will be in action in March.
“Daniel [Amartey] has had surgery and it was a success.” Puel stated.
“He will normally not be available for four months.
“I had sadness towards Daniel after the game, to sacrifice himself for the team like that.”
The former FC Copenhagen star was gradually establishing himself in Puel’s team before the unfortunate injury.
