Ghana will do battle against Algeria, Mali and Cameroon in Group A but the Black Queens could face ten-times champions Nigeria in the semifinals.

The Super Falcons have been drawn into Group B same as South Africa, Zambia and Kenya.

The winner of Group A meets the runner-up of Group B whereas the Group B winner will come up against the second-placed team of Group A in the semifinals.

Bashiru Hayford’s side have been handed a favorable draw and start their campaign against Algeria on November 17 at the Accra sports stadium. Ghana come up against Mali next on November 20 before wrapping up its group account against Cameroon which promises to be the group decider.

The headline master of ceremonies for the draw was former Ghana international defender now deputy secretary general of CAF Anthony Baffoe who conducted the draw and was aided by Ghana internationals Adjoa Bayor and Memunatu Sulemana.

Ghanaian radio presenters Nathaniel Attoh and Anita Erskine were the other MCs for the ceremony that took place at the Movenpick Hotel in Accra on Sunday night and was attended by CAF President Ahmad Ahmad,  the Youth and Sports minister of Ghana Honourable Isaac Asiamah, the Chairman of the Normalisation Committee of the Ghana FA Dr Kofi Amoah and LOC chairperson Honourable Freda Prempeh.

The draw was also attended by high profile personalities like Black Queens coach Bashiru Hayford, Zambia’s team manager Chibwe Besa, joint coach of Cameroon Anong Azang Bernadette. South Africa was represented by the First Secretary of the South Africa High Commission in Ghana, Mapeete Kouame.

The competition to be hosted by Ghana kicks off November 17 and ends on December 1 this year.
