The Black Stars held their first training session in Kumasi on Monday ahead of the team’s AFCON qualifying double header against Sierra Leone.
The team arrived on Monday morning and where they are lodged at the plush Golden Tulip hotel.
The light training session began at 4:00pm at the Babayara sports stadium and eight players were present at the training.
All the eight players took part in the session which was led by head coach Kwesi Appiah and his two assistants Ibrahim Tanko and Maxwell Konadu.
The players who took part in the training are captain Asamoah Gyan , Afriyie Aqcuah, Newcastle’s Atsu Christan, Felix Annan of Asante Kotoko, Andy Yiadom, Nicholas Opoku, Bernand Mensah, Richard Ofori and Levante attacker Emmanuel Boateng.
The rest of the players are expected to arrive tonight while some are also expected to arrive tomorrow.
The team will hold another training tomorrow at the same venue.
Ghana’s game against Sierra Leone is thrown into big doubt as the Leone Stars continue to be suspended by FIFA.
