The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Akotex and Eleven wise goalkeeper John Abeka joined his ancestors on Thursday morning after a short illness.

The former goalkeeper, 64, who is father of four children was taken to hospital but couldn’t survive as he passed away at the Ayim hospital in Cape Coast.

“The family will meet today and set a date for his burial. We haven’t decide on anything yet ” son of the deceased Atta Cole told FootballmadeinGhana.com.

John Abeka took a career in coaching after his football career. He coached clubs like Wafa, Vipers.
