Ghanaian striker Lawson Bekui scored on his Politehnica Iasi debut in their comprehensive 3-0 win over Concordia on Monday night.
The former Dreams FC attacker was playing his first match for the Romanian club following his arrival from Oman club Dhofar.
Bekui came on as a second half substitute to a great effect with his 88th minute strike that put a gloss over the much needed win.
Politehnica had made a wobbly start to their league campaign with just one win in as many games prior to Monday’s clash against Concordia.
The win thus pulls them from last but one in the Liga 1 to 11th.
Bekui’s debut goal follows that of his compatriot George Dwubeng who scored for the same club in his first official game with the U19’s on Sunday.
The 24-year old striker has a reputation of making debut headlines.
In 2016 he scored an impressive 7 goals in 16 appearances to finish as Dreams FC’s top goalscorer in the Ghana Premier League even though he did not complete the season before making his first trip abroad.
