Inform Jeffery Schlupp was excluded from the 21 man squad for the Black Stars African Cup of nations qualifier against Kenya.

Assistant Coach of the team, Ibrahim Tanko explained why Schlupp was overlooked despite his fine form in the ongoing Premier League for Crystal Palace.

Speaking to Nhyira FM, Tanko said the reason for his exclusion is because he now plays more offensive and the technical team felt they had more wingbacks or wingers in the team but will consider him for the future.

“Jeffery Schlupp is playing more offensive for Crystal Palace now but we felt we had enough wingers or wingbacks now so yes he is playing well but we will consider him for the future” he said.
