Aduana Stars Chief Executive Officer, Albert Commey has said that they can’t give any excuse for their defeat to Ivorian giant, Asec Mimosas at home in the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday.
Number-eight shirted Gbagnon Badie scored in the 26th minute from the spot before Ta Bi Willy Braciano increased the tally in the 35th with an incredible dink as the Ivorian champions gave debutant starting goalkeeper Gordon Yeboah a torrid time.
Speaking after the game, Albert Commey accepted all blames on behalf of the playing body and the technical team and also assured the fans that things will be better.
“We can’t give any excuse, we have lost and it happens sometimes, if you watched the game carefully, you would have realised that the team didn’t gel up very well and the square passes were too much, so I will plead to our fans to forgive us, we didn’t live up to expectation” Albert Commey said after the game.
The defeat meant that Aduana Stars continental campaign has come to end with a game left.
