Former Ghana star Solar Ayew wants the current football season to be canceled due to the current state of football in the country.
Government has started a legal procesess to have the Ghana Football Association (GFA) wound up following a Tiger Eye Pi football corruption expose that implicated the GFA president Kwesi Nyantakyi and one executive committee member Mr. Eddie Doku.
After completion of the first round of the season, the commencement of the second half was thrown into jeopardy following the airing of the Tiger Eye Pi expose.
“For me I prefer us starting at fresh from next year with full force. By that time I am sure the reforms might have been put in place to get us going again.” The former Hearts of Oak player said.
“We all know what has happened and I don’t think it will be prudent to continue immediately” Ayew explained.
The GFA is currently restrained by a court injunction and there is still no clear way charted for the resumption of domestic football.
