Turkish football club Fenerbahce have confirmed the signing of Ghanaian forward Andre Ayew on a season-long loan from Swansea, a written statement from the club pointed out on Friday.
Ayew will spend the coming season at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium with Fenerbahce having an option to buy at the end of the loan.
The Ghanaian international was officially unveiled on Friday and the boss of Fenerbahce says the acquisition of Ayew will help strengthen their attack.
“We signed a one-year contract with Andre Ayew with a buying option on the player. We’re strengthening our offense line.” Fenerbahce Sporting Director Damien Comolli indicated.
“Fenerbahce could sign a full contract with Ayew after the loan,”
Ayew on his part stressed that his ambition is to help the yellow canaries win the superlig.
“My only wish is to make Fenerbahce become league champions.” he stated.
Ayew has previously featured for teams including Marseille, Arles Avignon and West Ham.
