Match Report : Accra Lions 0-1 Kotoko – Kalo Ouattara scores late to hand Kotoko first win

Asante Kotoko registered their first wij  of the season with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Accra Lions on Matchday 4 of the betPawa Premier League.

A late strike from Kalo Ouattara handed the Porcupines a massive win at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Having gone three games without a win,  Coach Ogum made changes to the team that started against Karela United in the last game.

Baba Yahaya and Richmond Lamptey were handed their first start of the season with Danlad Ibrahim keeping his place in the team.

Despite dominant the first half,  Asante Kotoko failed to breach the impressive Lions defense.

Back from recess, the host lifted their perfomance testing Danlad Ibrahim on several occasions .

Kotoko also came close but were denied by the impressive Afful.

The Porcupine finally got the breakthrough in the 90+7 minute when former Berekum Chelsea attacker, Kalo Ouattara headed home a cross from Richmond Lamptey to hand Asante Kotoko an important win.

The victory moves Asante Kotoko from the bottom of the table to the 10th position with 5points in 4games.

Asante Kotoko will face Aduana Stars on Matchday five while Accra Lions visits Great Olympics on matchday 5.
