CAF AWCQ: Purple-patch Queens put up a 5-star show over Rwanda

Coach Nora Hauptle today led the Ghana Black Queens to progress to the next stage after accounting for their female from Rwanda by 5:0 at the Accra Sports Stadium; making it whopping 12-0 on aggregate in the 2024 CAF Women’s African Cup of Nations.
Alice Kusi set the tone by opening the scoring for the Queens on the 22nd minute before adding two in succession in the 26th and 37th minute to complete her hattrick and the third for Ghana.
Evelyn Badu wrote her name on the score sheet three minutes to end the first half to make it 4:0. When all looked like done and dusted, Stella Nyamekye iced the cake with the three minutes into additional time (93rd minute) to make it a 5-star performance with no answers from the Rwandan ladies, who lost by 7:0 at their own backyard.
The Black Queens have Namibia as their next hurdle in their bid to make it to the Morocco 2024, African women’s Cup of Nations.
