BLACK STAR: Two local players feature for Ghana in Liberia win

Medeama duo Abdul Fatawu Hamidu and Jonathan sowah featured as Ghana defeated Liberia 3-1 in a international friendly on Tuesday.
The duo were in action for the Black Stars as Chris Hughton’s side produced a good second half performance to defeat their West African counterparts at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Hamidu who was handed a late call up to replace the injured Baba Rahman started as part of the back five on the day.
The left back who lasted the entire duration of the game impressed on the day despite playing in an unfamiliar role.
Jonathan Sowah also came in the second half and made an instant impact by assisting Jordan Ayew for Ghana’s third.
The attacker also showed glimpses of his qualities by causing a lot of problems to the visitors.
Chris Hughton will be elated with the performance of the duo and will be keeping a eye on them ahead of the 2023 African Cup of Nations.
The duo after their impressing on their debut will be hoping to keep their place in the team ahead of Ghana’s next assignment.
