WAFU B WCL Qualifiers : Mary Amponsah nets hat-trick as Ampem Darkoa defeat Atletico D’Abidjan

Ampem Darkoa ladies are through to the semi-finals of the WAFU B Champions League qualifiers after beating Atletico D’Abidjan 3-0 in their second group game on Friday .

A first-half hat-trick from Mary Amponsah propelled the ‘Nanamma’ side to a comfortable win.

It took Ampem Darkoa Ladies just two minutes after kick off to take the lead at the Samuel Ogbemudia Sports Stadium.

Mary Amponsah powered the Ghanaian champions in the lead with a sweet finish.

The attacker doubled her side’s lead on the 15th minute tapping home a pass in the penalty box.

Mary Amponsah completed her hat-trick on the 28th minute aftter recieving a pass from Ophelia Serwaa.

Ampem Darkoa went to the break with a 3-0 lead.

Back from recess, Ampem Darkoa created numerous chances but couldn’t add to their lead.

Atletico D’Abidjan got a consolation on the 83rd minute following a loose mark in the Ghanaians penalty box.

The Ghanaian champions held on to their 3-1 lead until the blast of the full time whistle.

Mary Amponsah following her hat-trick today has now scored seven goals in two games in the competition.
