Ghanaian attacker Hafiz Wontah Konkoni has netted first goal for new club Young Africans.

Konkoni joined the Tanzanian champions during the current transfer window after impressing in his stint at Bechem United.

The 23 year old climbed off the bench in the second half of his side’s league opener at home to Kinondoni FC on Wednesday afternoon.

He hit the target and scored his first Yanga goal which gave the home team a 3-0 lead.

The game eventually ended 5 nil and Hafiz Konkoni will be left feeling proud of hitting the ground running at his new club.

The Ghanaian trained teacher has seen a rise in his game as he received his maiden Black Stars call-up this year.

He will be hoping that continuing to perform at Yanga will better his chances in subsequent national team call ups.
