CAF Confederations Cup: Karim Zito pleased with Milo FC draw

Dreams FC coach, Abdul Karim Zito is pleased with his sides draw over in their first ever CAF Inter-club competition game.

The ‘Still Believe’ side secure a 1-1 draw against Guinean side Milo FC de Kankan in the first leg of the CAF Confederations Cup tie at the Stade General Lansana Conte in Conakry.

Gael Aholou gave Dreams the lead few minutes after kick off but host scored late in the game to share the spoils.

Speaking in the media after the game, Karim Zito expressed his satisfaction with his team performance on the day.

“I told you it won’t be an easy game cos Guinea is also a country known for good football so I was expecting a tougher opposition. Before I came into the game, my objective was either to win or at least draw so I’m very happy I was able to achieve the target so I’m ok.”

“It was a strategy because the way the game was moving, you will get problem if you open up so I had to play tactically to stop them from getting what they wanted.”

Dreams will be looking to overcome the Guineans in the return leg on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
