WAFU B Women’s Champions League qualifiers : Mary Amponsah smashes four as Ampem Darkoa rout Amis du Monde
Ghanaian champions, Ampem Darkoa Ladies got off to a promising start in. the WAFU B Women’s Champions League qualifiers with a 4-2 win over Togolese side Amis Du Monde.
Four goals from Mary Amponsah propelled the Ghanaian side to a comfortable win at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium.
Mary Amponsah broke the deadlock of the game just a minute after kick off with a powerful header.
The Togolese champions restored parity on the 17th minutes following a lose mark in the penalty box.
Mary Amponsah restored the lead on the 21st minute taking advantage of a mistake by the goalkeeper.
Ten minutes after the recess, Mary Amponsah netted the third goal before adding the fourth to extend the lead to 4-1.
Amis Du Monde scored to reduced the deficit to two but was not enough as the Ghanaian side maintained the two goals lead.
Ampem Darkoa Ladies will face Ivorian outfit Atletico FC in their next game on Friday, August 25, 2023.
