TRANSFERS: Boadu holds first training session with Al Ahly Tripoli

The 28-year-old player was transferred from Ghana Premier League side Asante Kotoko to the Libyan team

Ghanaian midfielder Richard Boadu, trained with Libyan side Al Ahly Tripoli as he begins a new life abroad.

The 28-year-old player was transferred from Ghana Premier League side Asante Kotoko to the Libyan team.

According to sources, the Ghanaian signed a two-year contract and will earn a salary of about $6000 per month.

After enjoying success in the Ghana Premier League with the Porcupine Warriors and Medeama, he is anticipated to play a significant role for the Libyans in the forthcoming campaign.

Boadu’s exit from Kotoko brings to an end a distinguished career, as he leaves with the team record most tackles and the most duels won.

In his final season with Asante Kotoko, he made a contribution with two goals, five assists, and eight man-of-the-match accolades.

During the 2020–21 season, Richard Boadu and Kotoko won the Ghana Premier League.
